Family Drug Court:
The Family Drug Court Program, in conjunction with the 23rd Judicial
Circuit (Jefferson County, Missouri), is a twelve-to fifteen month
intensive outpatient program for parents who have had their children
placed into Child Protective Services due to alcohol and/or other
drug abuse or dependence issues.
Components of the program include alcohol/drug education, individual
and group therapy, family therapy and parenting skills. The emphasis
of this program is to reunite the family in a drug-free environment.
DWI Court:
The DWI Court Program is a self-pay treatment program for repeat
and persistent DWI offenders in lieu of incarceration.
This program, in conjunction with the 23rd Judicial Circuit (Jefferson
County, MO) is a twelve-to-fifteen month intensive outpatient program
for offenders with clear indicators of alcohol and/or other drug
abuse/dependence.
Adult Drug Court:
The 23rd Judicial Circuit Jefferson County Drug Court Intervention
Program is a court supervised, intensive drug addiction treatment
program for individuals charged with felony drug possession. The
program is minimally one year long and involves group and individual
counseling, random drug testing, weekly court appearances and participation
in the Narcotics Anonymous (NA) program. Participants are closely
montiored by the court and a case manager from the Missouri Board
of Probation and Parole. Following Drug Court completion, most participants
receive a formal dismissal of their felony charges. Nationally,
drug courts have been proven to be the best treatment program to
reduce recidivism and promote long-term recovery. Missouri leads
the nation in drug court programming with Jefferson County having
one of the most successful programs.
