Comtrea Provides classes to help parents in the middle of a divorce
understand the impact this will have on their children. Course content
helps parents to minimize the disruption and confusion that their
children may be experiencing as a result of the divorce. "Supportive
Parents" is a two hour course. Classes are pre-scheduled and
offered monthly in Arnold on a Wednesday evening or a Saturday morning.
Festus classes will be on a pre-scheduled Thursday evening.
Kids Helping Kids classes are offered concurrently (see Children's
Services section) with the adult classes. Contact our Suburban
or South offices for details.
Divorce Mediation
Selected COMTREA therapists have been extensively trained in Divorce
Mediation. Referrals are made when parents cannot agree upon child-custody,
visitation, or child-support. If parents qualify, up to four hours
of mediation may be paid for through available grants.
